                  PRINTER COMPOSE TABLE

READ THIS IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF THE TABLE USE AND STRUCTURE

This is a table of 256 2-byte entries which can optionally
be used for character translation when printing. It allows
characters to be composed from 2 characters or straight
character code conversion, for example, the character "a
circumflex" may not be on the printwheel, but could be
printed by the combination "^ backspace a". All input is in
decimal and terminated with <RETURN>. The above example
would be entered by selecting option "D" on the following
screen and entering the code for the character "a
circumflex" as the location for changing --- in this case
131 being the decimal equivalent of the ASCII code for this
character. The conversion codes would be entered as 94 and
97 for the "^" and the "a" respectively. This principle
applies for any other code conversions that may be required.

If the existing entry is to remain unchanged, simply press
the <RETURN> key. Entries containing zeroes will mean that
corresponding codes will pass through unchanged at print
time. When codes for one character have been entered, the
program moves on to the next sequential code automatically.
To go back one step, enter a "-" character, and to terminate
entry, enter a "." character. Selecting option "C" will
cause the entire table to be zeroed. To "enable" the table
for use when printing, select option "A", and to "disable"
it, select option "B".
NOTE: Use of this Install facility is the only way of
selecting and deselecting use of this table.

B DISABLE the compose table

C Initialize the printer compose table
