DOOM Editor Version 1.0 for OS/2 January, 1994
==============================================

DOOM is a great game...graphics, sound, violence! It's a great way to
relax, and sweat. I've always been amazed though at the number of secret
areas I've missed, not to mention getting wiped out early under
Ultra-Violence mode.

This is another DOOM Editor written to run under OS/2. And why not!!?

This program is FreeWare, from KnowWare.

INSTALLATION:
=============

The DEDIT100 archive contains the following files:-

    DEDIT.DOC - Details how to use DEDIT. (The file you are reading).

	DEDIT.EXE - This file should be located

Unarchive these files into your DOOMDATA directory.

Scan all the files for viruses. It was checked when it was first archived
but we cannot guarantee it hasn't been re-archived by others. Particularly
since most BBS's these days do this automatically upon receiving a file.

OPERATION:
==========

Make sure you have made copies of your saved game files before editing.

DEDIT runs in an OS/2 window.

To edit a file, type:

    DEDIT <SavedGameFile>

where

    SavedGameFile is the filename you wish to enter. Do not include the
    .DSG extension.

DEDIT recognizes both version .99 and 1.1 saved game files.
