Attention Starfighter!

This is the Linux-port of the Xenon2 editor Xened 0.97. This one's even
more buggy than the MS-DOS & OS/2-Versions ... ;) Well not really buggy
(I hope) - There's just some things missing:

I had to do some effort to get the keys working and there are still
some that don't (SHIFT-TAB for going to previous gadget doesn't work
and SPACE for setting a tile in the map-editor and maybe some others
that I forgot).

You also have to set the Xenon2-directory with the "-d" option on the
command line, setting the directory in the program doesn't work. (After
you've done this for the first time, the directory will be saved to the
config-file, so you will have to give the switch again only if the
directory has changed).

Message windows must be dismissed with RETURN, not with "any key" like
in the other versions of the program.

The program searches for its files (e.g. xened.dat) in its
starting-directory, not in the proper directory (.../lib, .../var or
whatever) so you have to supply at least some links, if you want to
copy the files somewhere else.

I don't know if the things mentioned above will ever be fixed - I did
this port more or less only as some exercise - I don't think that
anyone plays Xenon 2 under DOSEMU under Linux and so I suppose there is
no real need for Xened to run under Linux ...

Anyway, have fun with this program!

2001 update: I have no idea, if this thing still compiles under any
version of GNU/Linux. It was written more or less just as a "proof
of concept" and never being worked on afterwards.
