1. GOOD NEWS FROM EASTERN EUROPE

Four PC manufacturers in Russia and Poland have signed OS/2 Warp preload
contracts. Three of the top five Russian manufacturers, R-Style
Computers, Stins Coman Corporation and Formoza, and Vobis Microcomputer
of Poland all made preload announcements within the last month.

"We are pleased with the overwhelming success of OS/2 Warp in Eastern
Europe," said Dan Lautenbach, IBM vice president, Emerging Markets and
OEM Sales. "These companies account for a significant portion of the
Russian operating system market. In addition, Vobis Microcomputer in
Poland adds to the worldwide momentum of OS/2 Warp."

R-Style Computers has committed to make the English-language version of
OS/2 Warp available as a preload on at least 95 percent of the company's
hardware, and will begin using the Russian-language version when it is
available.

IBM and R-Style will participate in joint marketing activities, and IBM
will provide R-Style specialists with technical training. The company
shipped 24,000 PCs in 1994 and expects more than 40,000 shipments in
1995. R-Style estimates that the addition of OS/2 Warp will boost 1996
sales figures by 7-10 percent.

Stins Coman will begin preloading Russian-language OS/2 Warp on 30
percent of the company's products in December. The demand for OS/2 from
corporate customers and the public sector strongly influenced Stins
Coman's decision to preload OS/2 Warp, said the company's president,
Sergey Anisimov.

Stins Coman is also launching an advertising campaign highlighting the
availability of Stins Coman computers preloaded with OS/2 Warp. The
Stins Coman Corporation anticipates PC sales of $26 million in 1995 and
has a target of $45-50 million in 1996.

Formoza, the second largest Russian OEM, plans to preload 14,400
machines with Russian-language PC DOS in the next 12 months and 12,000
machines with OS/2 Warp, including 2,400 machines with the OS/2 Warp
Connect English-language version. The company shipped approximately
20,000 PCs in 1994 and expects shipments of 50,000 by the end of this
year.

Half of all Vobis 486 and Pentium class computers will be preinstalled
with the Polish version of OS/2 Warp. "Vobis consistently aims to offer
state-of-the-art systems that are tailored to the needs of our
customers" said Danusz Pietraszkiewicz, Vobis Microcomputer country
manager. "Beyond doubt, many of our customers find OS/2 to be their
preferred operating system, so the number of OS/2 users is rapidly
growing."

4. GET MORE EXPOSURE FOR YOUR OS/2 APPS

  * Are you or your company developing OS/2 applications?
  * Do you plan on having a Beta test for it? Already in Beta?
  * Would you like others to know about your software?

If so, then you should know about the Team OS/2 Beta Programs Web Site.

learn about Betas from IBM, Dev Tech, StarDock, and many others.

It's very easy to be added to their growing list of Beta programs. You
provide them with information about your Beta and they will craft it
into a fine Web Page and add it to their site. Or if you already have
a page with the information on your beta program thats fine, just
provide them with the URL and they will add a link. If your beta is
available on the Internet via anonymous FTP, they will even add a link
 for that.

How much is this going to cost you. Nothing| This service is provided
free of charge by TeamOS/2 Online and Eric Erickson.

So if you wish to take advantage of this offer, get some wider coverage
of your OS/2 software or have any questions about the Team OS/2 Beta

5. HMI AUDIO TOOLS TO BE INCLUDED ON DEVCON

Human Machine Interfaces has agreed to provide HMI's audio tools
libraries in IBM's Developer Connection for OS/2 (DevCon) in the first
half of 1996.

The HMI Sound Operating System (SOS) provides many tools to the
development community to integrate sound effects, vocals, music and
hardware compatibility into their game platforms. It provides features
such as 32 channels of real-time digital mixing, independ ent volume
controls, panning and pitch-shifting, which allow the application to
change the characteristics of sound. The system also provides an
interactive music playback system that allows the music to change
according to gaming action. The HMI SOS is expected to enhance the
audio capabilities of OS/2 Warp.

6. BTRIEVE TO PORT DATABASE TO OS/2

IBM and Btrieve Technologies announced a strategic agreement to deliver
a client/server solution combining Btrieve database and OS/2 Warp Server
technology. The relationship exemplifies IBM's commitment to broaden
client/server solutions to its customer base and expand its presence in
small-and medium-sized businesses.

IBM and BTI will work together to deliver a solution that enables
customers to add OS/2 Warp Server to their existing network and
immediately run their Btrieve-based applications in a client/server
configuration without changing a line of code. Under the terms of the
agreement, IBM and BTI will participate in a wide array of activities
including joint product development and marketing, channel development,
and customer service programs. Initial details of the programs include
technical collaboration and assistance on the port of Btrieve to OS/2
Warp Server and LAN Server 4.0, co-sponsorship of reseller authorization
