II. UPDATES/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
----------------------------------

   AutoCAD
   -------

Note also that the VGAREL9 now supports a dual screen mode of operation.
If you have a monochrome monitor and display adapter in your system along
with the VGA-16 card you can operate AutoCAD in a mode which uses
both monitors.	To initiate this mode you only need to type the DOS command:

			mode mono[cr]

before starting up AutoCAD. The driver VGAREL9 will take care of the rest.

   SETTING TEXT MODES
   ------------------

The Enhancement Selection Utility program (ESU.COM) will display all
text modes available for an analog display (variable frequency displays
with analog connectors). A monitor selection menu is not presented.

The graphics modes (modes 60h to 69h) are not available with ESU.

   Appendix D Mode Parameters
   --------------------------

The list of mode parameters in Appendix D page 2 of the user's manual
are hexadecimal numbers.

Alternate Video Display Parameter Table Utility Program
   -------------------------------------------------------

The Alternate Parameter Table Utility Program, ALTPARM.COM, is provided for
additional support for video displays which are not included in the ROM BIOS.

Execute:

	>ALTPARM ? [CR]

to provide the list of monitor parameters available.

Execute:

	>ALTPARM <monitor name> [CR]

to load the parameters for your monitor.

Use the ALTPARM utility program if you experience problems in centering
your video display.
