FASY - File Archiving SYstem ---------------------------- FASY is a system to realize a kind of hierarchical memory-managment for linux in user space (no kernel-patch is needed). It migrates files from harddisk to cheaper media like magnetic tapes and recovers them when you try to access them. You can get the newest Version from ftp.informatik.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/fasy At this moment there is only a german handbook available, but there are some manpages in english. The file "fasy_.tgz" includes the program, handbook and manpages and also an binary of the extended nfs-server compiled at RedHat Linux 6.1. The sources are placed in the subdirectory "Source". German-speeking users can also get my diploma thesis in the subdirectory "Diplomarbeit". Send questions and annotations to Joerg.Matysiak@gmx.de
