This directory contains the unedited archives of the messages sent to
the disney-comics mailing list.  There is one file for each month,
1992-08 (the first one) being August, 1992, etc.

This is not edited in anyway, so there are lots of messages that
shouldn't be there, erroneous information corrected in later postings,
etc. etc.  This is not something I recommend anyone to read, but in
case you want to look at something you know was discussed on the list
again, or you want to "grep" the files for information on a particular
subject they might come in handy anyway.

The files are all compressed with gzip and thus have ".gz" at the end
of their names.  They can be uncompressed with gunzip at your site if
you have it.  It's also possible to retrieve an uncompressed file just
by asking ftp to "get 1994-01" even though the file that actually
exists is the compressed file "1994-01.gz".

Since April 1993 there has also been a digested version of the list.
The digests are numbered from 1 to 862 and the contents sections of
the digests are shown in

	digests-0xx	(listing digest #1-99)
	digests-1xx	(listing digest #100-199)
	...
	digests-8xx	(listing digest #862)

Actually there's a digest #863 as well, but that was sent out by
mistake.  By that time the new Disney comics list was working instead.

The messages themselves are only listed in the monthly files, though.
The last file is 1995-11.  After that the list changed address and I
started using SmartList to administrate it.  Since then I use the
normal SmartList archive server instead of doing it myself.  On
subscribing you get information on how to use it.
