                      A text mode viewer for OS/2 .INF files
                       (DOS and OS/2 mode programs included)
                                  Beta version

       ====  ?

       INFVIEW is a text-mode program for reading OS/2 .INF and .HLP
       files. This is second version, with both OS/2 and DOS program in
       archive (do not know how to make bound apps with Borland Pascal).
       I did not add any new features, just found two bugs in decoding
       engine, becouse I was compiling Turbo Vision to OS/2. Well, with
       a great help from bpos2tv package, here are the results:
       view-os2.exe is compiled from the same source as view-dos.exe
       (well, with minimal modifications).

       I was waiting for a long time for such a program to show up on
       some OS/2 ftp site, but no luck. So, I wrote one. It is my first
       program I wrote not only for myself, and it is also my first
       program in Turbo Vision. So, do not expect miracles.

       To decode the INF files, I relied on the information in
       the INF02A.DOC file. As the information in that DOC is not
       complete, neither is INFVIEW.

       ====  How To Install it

       Put OS/2 program in some directory where OS/2 can find it, rename
       it as you like and it's done.

       Dos mode program put in some directory (together with .HLP file)
       where DOS can find it, rename it as you like (if you are using
       4DOS do not name it view.exe - 4DOS knows how to start OS/2
       programs, so it will start view.exe form \OS2 directory if it is
       in the PATH listed first) but do not rename .HLP file.

       ====  How To Use It

       To start INFVIEW on an IPF file (.INF or .HLP), pass the full
       name (including the extension!) of the file as an argument to
       INFVIEW. It does not support multiple documents, so it will
       process only first file if there are more then one. INFVIEW shows
       what it reads and then displays the table of contents

       INFVIEW screen looks much like VIEW.EXE, so if you are using
       VIEW.EXE you will also be familiar with INFVIEW.

       There are Service and Options menus, but not all commands are
       functional yet.

       I added one new menu -Video- where you can customize colors,
       video modes, number of lines on display (well, only two fonts are
       available 16 (or 14) and 8 bits high) and palette.

       In OS/2 program there is only Colors command yet, video mode and
       lines on screen you must select with MODE command before starting
       INFVIEW.

       I am sure that you will want to change colors - I do not have
       color monitor, so I am sure that defaults are not nice. After you
       make any changes, save the new view.cfg. INFVIEW looks for that
       file in his exe directory when started.

       ====  Thanks

       Many thanks to Carl Hauser and Marcus Groeber for INF02A.DOC,
       and Peter Brandstrom for his TVToys package.

       ====  Next ?

       This program is still under development, so, if you like it, and
       want to help its development, I will appreciate any help I can
       get. OK, here we are, yes, I mean money, but I also want any
       suggestions, and, much more, information about .INF format.
