epmspellUS:
===========

There is a regrettable amount of confusion about enabling spell-
checking for the wonderful EPM text editor. It has become hard to
locate the needed files, and especially hard to make sure one has the
correct versions.

The files needed are the oslexam.dll and a .dct dictionary file for
the language to be checked. There are multiple versions of the dll
floating about; one early one still in internet circulation (as in a
package on, at least, Hobbes) is apparently hard-coded to require the
dictionary file to be placed on Drive C.

The dll in this package, internally marked "R1V2D30 Copyright IBM 1987,
1993", has no such restriction. You can place the dll itself anywhere
that is on your LIBPATH; I now forget the required placement of the
dictionary file, but mine is in the same directory as the EPM
executable (EPM.EXE) and works fine.

I uploaded this package chiefly because when I went looking about, I
could not easily find a copy of the correct dll.

I include the only dictionary file I have, the US English one; it is
said that the Warp 3 IBMworks CD had several other language
dictionaries on it (plus, I suppose, the correct dll).

As with all things, no guarantees or warrantees of anything.
