OS/2 Warp v3.0 Demonstration Read Me file.

  17th October 1994

  Installation
  ------------
The demo needs to be installed on the demonstration computer's hard disk
  before it can be run.

The demo also requires both OS/2 Warp and MultiMedia Presentation Manager/2
(MMPM/2) to have been installed on the machine. The machine must have a CD-ROM
drive and a 16 bit sound card known to MMPM/2. To install the demo, switch to
  the CD-ROM drive and type

  INSTALL

  and press the RETURN key.

The installation program will by default run in the language of the country
  code already on the machine.

The install program is fully prompted, and you should follow the on screen
  prompts.

It will start by displaying the OS/2 logo bitmap, and offering a choice of
'Exit' or 'Start Install'. Selecting 'Start Install' will lead to the Install
  Options Panel.

After the correct options have been selected, press the OK button on the
Install Options Panel, a progress Panel will display while the required files
are copied to the hard disk. When the program completes, a message box will
appear explaining how the system files were saved. Press the Enter button,
and the program will exit. Perform a system shutdown and reboot the system.
The demo will start automatically when the system re-starts.

  Running the demo
  ----------------

The TOP.EXE controls execution of the demo, and captures any mouse or
keyboard input which occurs while the demo is running.

An option in this program allows a privileged staff member normal mouse and
keyboard input to the OS/2 system, upon entry of a password.

The password is OS/2*WARP. It is not sensitive to the case of the letters
  entered.

After a period of inactivity (default 60 seconds), the TOP.EXE program will
  re-start the demonstration.

If the F9 key is pressed, a panel will appear inviting the user to
enter a password, and the demo will continue to run in the background.
If no entry is made during the default time period, the panel will
be closed, and the demo will continue in the foreground.

At the end of the demo, the control program will pause for the timeout period
  and then repeat it.

If the correct password is entered when requested, an options panel will be
presented, which will allow the control program (and any running demo)
to be completely closed down. After this the system can be used normally).

  Demonstration - Control Options Dialog
  --------------------------------------
After the password is correctly entered, a panel is presented, with
a number of buttons, a list box and a spin button and checkbox.

     Continue Demo
This clears the options panel, and restores the system to its normal
secure state. The demo will start after the timeout.

     Exit Program
This causes the control program to exit. If started from a command
prompt then control is returned to the command prompt. If started from
the startup.cmd file control is returned to the startup file, which
     will continue to be processed.

     Help
This launches the OS/2 Warp information help file.

     Language for Demo
If more than one language was installed, or the demo is being run
from cd-rom this will show a list of languages available for the
demo. After highlighting the required language, press the Apply
Language Change button to action the change. The options panel text
should then change to the selected language.

     Volume
The spin button and/or entry field can be used to set the master volume
control for OS/2 MultiMedia Presentation Manager. The mute button can be
used to cut out the sound, and then restore it the previous value.
